Desiré  has been performing burlesque for over 20 years.

While honing her stripping skills as a feature performer at the Crazy Horse in San Francisco, she found her ultimate inspiration when she visited the Burlesque Hall of Fame (BHoF) museum in 2000. Soon she joined one of the first burlesque troupes of the neo-burlesque scene, Dane's Dames. After the Dames disbanded she continued on as a solo performer, performing in top shows around the country including VaVaVoom Room, Lucha Va Voom, Rock & Roll Strip Show, BHoF's Miss Exotic World Pageant and Tease-o-rama.

This has led not only to her longevity on the stage, but also to her respected position behind the scenes. She has produced shows locally and was co-founder of Tucson's first burlesque troupe, Black Cherry Burlesque.  Her biggest impact comes from her role as Vice-Chair of the Board and Chief Financial Officer for the Burlesque Hall of Fame and the BHoF Weekender. And she loves to share her tassel and FIRE (yes, fire) tassel twirling expertise to teach others the art of burlesque.

With her genuine and energetic support of burlesque, Desiré is the epitome of not just a burlesque performer, but a true burlesque aficionado. Desiré lives, breathes, works - and twirls - burlesque!
